Flu Vaccinations

Flu vaccination is available every year on the NHS to help protect adults and children at risk from flu and its complications. Please read the Flu Vaccination Overview to know more on the vaccine, the risk groups and eligibility.

It is critical that everybody observes the following key behaviours when they arrive for their flu jab:

  • Do not attend your appointment if you have symptoms of COVID-19

  • HANDS – sanitise your hands.

  • FACE - Wear a face covering

  • SPACE – Stand on one of the circles outside whilst you await to be called in for your flu jab

Children 2-3 years

  • We have to do things slightly different this year to minimise the risk of COVID -19 and to deliver vaccinations safely.

  • Appointments, this year, are limited by the number of vaccines available and by the number of patients which could be accommodated safely within the practice, which for this age group is 2 at any one time.

  • Patients will not be allowed to wait in any of the practice waiting or reception areas.

  • You are therefore advised to arrive at the practice at your appointed time and be prepared to be vaccinated by removing all excess clothing when entering the practice.

  •  This may look different to what you are used to and the appointment will be for the flu jab only.
